This grew out of the drum loop and baseline. The baseline sort of had a vague Boards of Canada feel to me, so I started to faff about with the loop, and ended up with the repeat and reverse bits you can hear. I stumbled across the little intro riff and that’s when the doodle grabbed my interest.

The ‘beautiful’ sample is an edited and effected library sample, but I was obviously in full on ‘rip off BoC' mode with it (maybe not quite out in the country, but we’re definitely on the bus passing through). And the track built from there. The ‘materialise’ sample is from a library I just can’t stay away from. Vintage samples of old American preachers. It’s packed with awesome stuff and has popped up often in my tunes over the last couple of years!
