My attempt at some ‘real music’. ;) I love piano and cello. I often try to write something decent based around these instruments. I often fail.
But Comets just about works for me. I stumbled across the underlying piano riff/loop, and enjoyed the drop to the more sinister/stern bit. One of those things I just kept playing when I sat at my keyboard.

I had visions of this being a pastoral piece about clear skies and storms and birds on the wing following the rain (the keyboard melody). But I started to overwork it, and went back to one of my simpler, early versions. I don’t think it needs be any more than it is.

It started out life as a very dry track - the reverb wash came later on the advice of a trusted friend...
